FAQFrequently Asked Questions
PEGGA is a productivity app for ride-hailing (TVDE) drivers in Portugal. It reads ride proposals from Uber and Bolt in real-time using OCR, calculates profitability (€/km and €/hour) and displays a colored overlay to help you instantly decide whether to accept or decline a ride.
PEGGA currently supports Uber and Bolt. The app reads the information displayed on screen when a ride proposal appears on these platforms.
The Accessibility Service is PEGGA's core technology. It allows the app to read ride proposal information (price, distance, time) displayed by Uber and Bolt on screen.
Without this permission, PEGGA cannot analyze ride proposals. This permission is NOT used to collect personal information — all data is processed locally on the device.
Check the following:
- Accessibility Service is enabled (Settings → Accessibility → PEGGA)
- "Display over other apps" is enabled (Settings → Apps → PEGGA)
- PEGGA's analysis service is running (green indicator on home screen)
- Battery optimization is disabled for PEGGA
- Try restarting the PEGGA service or restarting the device
Android may automatically disable the Accessibility Service to save battery. To fix:
- Go to Settings → Accessibility → PEGGA → turn off and on again
- Check that battery optimization is disabled for PEGGA
- On Xiaomi/Huawei/Samsung devices: check if PEGGA is in the protected apps list
- Restart the device if the issue persists
OCR accuracy depends on several factors:
- Ensure adequate screen brightness (don't use minimum brightness)
- Clean the device screen
- Some screen protectors may affect readings
- Check if the font size in the Uber/Bolt app is set to default
- Dark mode may affect readings on some devices
If the problem persists, contact support with your device model and screenshots.
€/km = Ride price ÷ Total distance (including pickup when available)
€/hour = Ride price ÷ Estimated time (converted to hours)
PEGGA considers the total distance for a more accurate analysis. You can customize the minimum thresholds in Analysis Settings.
PEGGA offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, you can subscribe via Google Play (monthly or yearly plans).
Veiklo/TVDE Smart fleet drivers get free access through their fleet operator.
Open Google Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PEGGA → Cancel.
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You won't lose access immediately.
Go to More → Subscription → Veiklo Drivers and fill in your validation data (email, phone, NIF, plate). If the information matches the Veiklo system, your license will be activated immediately.
No. PEGGA is exclusively for Android (8.0+) due to iOS restrictions that do not allow the type of screen access PEGGA requires (Accessibility Service).
No. All ride data, statistics, goals and settings are stored locally on the device. PEGGA does not transmit data to external servers.
The only exception is Veiklo/TVDE Smart license validation, which sends validation data to verify fleet membership. See Privacy Policy.
In the app: More → System → Clear Data. You can choose to clear history, goals, settings or everything. Uninstalling the app also removes all data.
For Veiklo server data: pegga.app/delete-account
PEGGA includes a dashcam feature that allows you to record video while driving for your safety. Recordings are stored only locally on the device and are never transmitted to external servers.
No. PEGGA is an independent tool developed by Toralle Lda. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Uber, Bolt, or any other ride-hailing platform.
